John David Young, age 91, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Born in Wallace NC on June 21, 1921, he was the son of the late John Wesley Young and Susan Ella Dempsey Young. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Mary Stormes Young and Ballard Young; son, Timothy Young; brothers, Robert Young, James Young, Will Young, and Frank Young; and sisters, Sula Casey, Beulah Howell, Edna Blackburn and Ella Mae Blizzard He leaves behind his son, David Young and wife Joyce; daughter, Tessie Brown and husband Bill; four grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7:00pm to 8:30pm Friday, November 23, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember John will be held at 10:00am Saturday morning in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Allen Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.   1. As we make our journey throu this life, death is our final stop. We are over come with grief. Even the perfect man, Jesus Christ, Gave way to tears. So greatly grieved was he over the death of his friend, Lazarous. (John 1135) Jesus said I am the resurrection, & the life.
