Jimmy Dwight Hill

ROCKY MOUNT - Jimmy Dwight Hill, age 69, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. Born in Lenoir County, NC on September 29, 1952, he was the son of the late Betty "Irene" & Jim Hill. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Lee Hill; sisters, Connie Faye Potter and Betty Francis Henry. Jimmy retired from Prysmian Group in 2018 after enjoying a 41-year career. He had quite the green thumb and enjoyed gardening during the spring and summer. Jimmy had a number of things he enjoyed doing during his lifetime from fishing, to working on cars, but the thing he truly loved was being a dad. A devoted father, a loving brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, Jimmy left a print on the hearts of many. He will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten. Jimmy leaves behind to celebrate his life, daughter, Candice Goslin of Middletown, Delaware (Robert); and son, Jimmy Hill of Tallahassee, Florida (Katherine); Siblings, Jo West of Snow Hill and Nathan Hill of Pinetops. His greatest pride in life were his three grand-daughters, Amanda, Rebecca & Victoria. He also had a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss his humor, smile, and support. Wake will be private to family only at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends and relatives for a celebration of Jimmy's life on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at 1728 Lilly Pad Rd, Snow Hill, NC 28580.
