Rocky Mount – Jimmy Dale “Bo” Tetter, age 71, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.  Born in Davidson County, NC on November 21, 1954, he was the son of the late David “Odell” Tetter and Rachel Leonard Tetter.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Louise Tetter; and his brother, Michael Steven Tetter.

Blessed with a contagious and gravitating personality, Bo could always strike up a good conversation with anyone.  He started his career as a salesman with Hubert Vester Honda in Wilson until relocating to Rocky Mount to work for Davenport Honda.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but he cherished all the memories created with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.  Throughout the years regardless of what sport or activity it was, Bo was always their biggest fan.  A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and good friend to many, Bo will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Bo is survived by his wife, Susan Mullinix Tetter; his daughter, Meghan Flowers; his son, Nicholas Tetter (Samantha); his grandchildren, Logan Church (Chris), Alaina Flowers, Addison Flowers, Avery Flowers, Jacob Naklicki, Ava Naklicki, Paxton Tetter, Shephard “Beau” Tetter, Ryan Bennett, and Rylee Phillips; his great-granddaughter, Maeson Church; his sister, Tricia Russell (Brian); his niece, Sydney Russell; his nephews, Brandon Tetter and Derek Tetter; his dog and best friend, Oakley; and many extended family members and good friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Bo’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Dr. Brian Russell officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bo’s memory to Nash Central High School, Attn: Athletic Booster Club, 4279 Nash Central High Road, Rocky Mount, NC  27804.

  4. Family Bo’s life showed us how to love, support, and care for family and others. He is physically not with us but we have the memories to help us cherish his life and to help us get through this bereavement. His legacy will live on. Bo I will miss seeing you at the games supporting the grandchildren.

  6. I am deeply saddened to learn of Jimmy Dale’s passing. We worked closely together at Hubert Vester Honda and have stayed in touch over the years. He was such genuine soul who cared deeply for others and his family. I remember how excited he was to talk about his wife, children and grandchildren. Jimmy also supported me when I adopted children of my own and took delight in keeping up with them via facebook posts. He will be missed. Praying for your family during this difficult time! May only the sweetest memories remain~
