WHITAKERS - Jeremy Keith Brock, age 36, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Born in Nash County, NC on August 25, 1980, he is the son of Kimberly Arp Walker and James Walker.
Jeremy loved his family very dearly and was always a diligent employee of New Dixie Oil Company, where he served as a district manager for their Subway chain restaurants. He was a true-blue UNC fan and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
Jeremy leaves behind to cherish his memories along with his parents, his son, Khaymen "Alex" Brock of Rocky Mount, his daughter, Makayla Brock of Newburgh, IN; his fianc`, Laura Briggs of Whitakers; his sister, Megan Brock Ross and her husband, Tim, of Clarksville, TN; a brother Duncan Brock of Nashville, TN; and his maternal grandparents Joyce and Carlton Arp of Erwin. He also leaves behind an aunt, Joni Arp; his uncle Jeff Arp; and his two nephews, Aidan and Rylan Ross.
A Celebration of Jeremy's Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Life Changing Christian Outreach, 223 South East Main Street, Rocky Mount, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to an animal shelter of your choosing in honor of Jeremy.

Jeremy will surely be missed! As part of the New Dixie family, anytime Jeremy came to Williamston no matter what we needed him to do, Jeremy was right there! Jeremy was one of the finest persons I have ever met. His heart was bountiful and he was generous with his love. The world is a better place today because he lived. I am so very sad for all of his family and loved ones. I pray for your comfort and peace.

At his wedding, he wanted everything to be perfect for his wife and she wasn’t sure how a new couple would be received in our community, but they looked so gosh darn happy that very quickly, I and a couple of friends rustled together something New, Borrowed, and Blue. The following Whispering Pines, we shared stories of house hunting and how frustrating it is to find the right fit, he later found it right up the street. Jeremy was a Viking who could sit around the fire with his community and make you feel like you were home.
We are sorry for your loss, I know he will be greatly miss. Martha, Shelton and Mary.

My heart breaks for Laura, Mykayla, Alex, Jeremy’s mom & dad, grandparents and the entire family!! You all will remain in my thoughts & prayers! I may not have known Jeremy as well as some but I do know no two people could have been any more in love than Laura and J. Although their time was cut short, they loved more than some do in a lifetime. What a blessing to know true love & to find your soul mate. So many go through life and never do! Jeremy will surely be missed by all who knew him! May he rest in peace!
