I am sad that Janet has passed away. So many memories have flooded in as I recall our friendship, which began in 1959 in 7th grade. She was always smart and funny and had a quick wit. I think about pajama parties, double dates, classes together in school, trips to the library, downtown, Barretts, the Goody Shop, a time Janet, Ellen and I drove down to Atlantic Beach for the day. Adulthood took me far and wide but I always enjoyed a visit with Janet if possible when I came back to Rocky Mount. I have one photo taken the day before we were all leaving for college but Janet would kill me if I posted it so I wont. I send my love and deepest sympathies to Henry, Caroline, Mrs. Byrne, Charles, Joel, Matt and families. –Caroline (Buffaloe) Carroll, Sacramento, CA

What a sweet girl, pretty and smart was Janet. And how could she be otherwise with such special parents. What a shame to lose one so young. My heart goes out to Gerry and the boys, am keeping them in my heart and prayers. Too Pirkey Wilson
