James “Keith” Inscoe
June 17, 1954 ~ November 23, 2021
ROCKY MOUNT - James "Keith" Inscoe, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on June 17, 1954, he was the son of the late Albert Vester Inscoe and Vera Minnie Green Inscoe.
Keith graduated West Edgecombe High School in 1972 and attended Wayne Community College in Goldsboro. He was in the building supply business for 40 years. Keith worked for Carolina Builders and Peoples Building Supply Co. in Rocky Mount. In 2003, he went into business for himself, vinyl window replacements. Keith enjoyed the work and especially enjoyed meeting new and old friends. He was generous to a fault. Keith would help anybody with anything he could. Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and the lottery. Keith especially enjoyed the backyard pool with his granddaughter, family, and friends. In the fall there were trips to the North Carolina mountains and West Virginia for white water rafting. Keith enjoyed life and was friendly to everyone.
Keith is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jean W. "Buffie" Inscoe of Rocky Mount; his son, James Kevin Inscoe of Rocky Mount; his granddaughter, Jillian Kendall Inscoe of Rocky Mount; his brother, Albert V. Inscoe, Jr. (Shirley) of Charlotte; his sister, Wanda I. Daughtridge of Rocky Mount; his special fur baby, Belle Inscoe; and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Graveside Service to celebrate Keith's life will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.

My love and deepest sympathy to Keith’s wife (my niece), his son and granddaughter, his extended family and friends. What a wonderful husband, son, father, grandfather, colleague, and friend! Keith will be greatly missed by those blessed by his life. What a good and kind man.
I was sad to receive the news of the loss of my next door neighbor, Keith. Buffie and Keith have been my neighbors and friends for over twenty years and I will miss Keith immensely. He was such a friendly helpful neighbor. My condolences, heart and prayers go out to Buffie and the family now and the days to come. I remember sitting on their back porch talking and reminiscing, side conversations in the yard about the trees and leaves as he manicured their lawn so beautifully and getting his expert advice about new windows and that’s what I will hold in my heart to remember Keith.
