I remember when I was little you were my idol. I thought you were the coolest person in the world. You were my big brother. I remember all the knowledge you gave me about books, tv, music and life in general. You always protected me and kept me safe. Now you are in Heaven. I love you and miss you. Your baby sister Lori.
I remember as we were growing up you were so little that people picked on you . I was your protector but when you grew up you could protect yourself .I wish that i could have protected you from all the hurt and pain and sickness that you went through but i could not You are now in Jesus arms and protected once again. I love you and will miss you so very much.Love you Kay Adams
When James and Cathy lived in Missouri, and Jennifer and Brandi were itty-bitty, I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the family. James always let me tag along when he would go shooting and hunting, and he even taught me how to clean squirrels in the kitchen – much to Cathy’s dismay. I always felt big around him, even though I was young, because he treated me so special. The lessons learned and memories I cherish will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know he loved Jennifer and Brandi dearly, as they loved him. Paula Pendergast, sister of Cathy Adams, aunt of Jennifer and Brandi

I was being transfered from Ft Bragg, NC to Presidio in San Francisco and drove to Rocky Mount to pick up my sister Debbie. She had been staying with my sister Cathy and James. When I arrived they were looking for there pet snake that had gotten out in the house. I offered to help look, went into the kitchen and started looking thru cabinets etc. For some reason I was drawn to the drawer of the stove, where the broiler is located. I almost pooped myself when i opened the drawer and an 11 ft python shot out at me. I jumped out of the way, snake slammed into the leg of the kitchen table knocking it acorss the room as i ran thru, yes thru the back screen door ( it was locked and i took it off the hinges ) they neglected to tell me it was a huge python. I was looking for a garter snake .. lol needless to say Debbie, Cathy and James were rolling on the floor laughing at me. Whenever i saw James after that day he would remind me of The Snake and bust up laughing.
I wanted to be just like Uncle Jimmy growing up , always admired his open mind ( thats where i got it from !) . He always spent time with each of us as kids and taught us all that belching was cool ! He didnt care a lot for material things , didnt follow the social norm , because he knew what freedom was ( another word for nothing left to loose ) ! Who’s left to look up to
