James Earl Blackmon

James Earl Blackmon, 48, of Rocky Mount, died unexpectedly May 6, 2010, at his home. James was born in Whitakers, NC, on April 30, 1962, the son of the late Roy Esel Blackmon and Dorothy West. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Larry) Denton of Rocky Mount; a sister, Brenda Blackmon of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Roy E. Blackmon Jr and David Blackmon both of Rocky Mount; and 2 stepbrothers, Chris Denton and Keith Denton, both of Rocky Mount. James is further survived by other relatives and friends. Graveside services for James will be held 11:00a.m., Monday, May 10, 2010, at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
