Jackie Braswell Barnes

ROCKY MOUNT - Jackie Braswell Barnes, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on April 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jack Braswell and Louise Smith Braswell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Danny Pittman; and her sister-in-law, Cathy Pittman. Jackie is survived by her son, Clint Barnes and wife, Sheryl, of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Samantha Barnes and Mike Rowe, both of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Hayden Barnes and Rebecca Barnes; her brothers, Joe Braswell, Larry Pittman and wife, Liz, Tommy Pittman and wife, Louise, Jerry Pittman, Mike Pittman; her sister, Lois Rose and husband, Steve, all of Rocky Mount; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. The family will be available to receive friends and relatives immediately following the service in the Mausoleum until 12:30 PM.
