Mr. Isham Benjamin "Ben" Clark, Jr., age 79, of Rocky Mount, NC, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home. Born May 27, 1932 in Cumberland County, NC, he was the son of the late Isham Benjamin Clark, Sr. and Helen Tharrington Clark. Mr. Clark retired from Carolina Trailways after 30 years of service and worked for Eagle Transport. A simple man, he loved his work, staying home tending to his family, and his yard. He was a member of Living Faith Fellowship Church. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margie Woodcock Clark; a daughter, Nancy Lynn Jones of Rocky Mount, NC; a son, Isham Benjamin Clark, III and his wife, Michelle, of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Phyllis Rigsbee of Louisburg, NC; an aunt, Lucille Harper of Louisburg, NC; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Jones, and a sister, Minerva Holt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. Pastor Danny Harris will officiate. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home.
