RED OAK - Irma Mincher Griffin, 85 died Monday September 26, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Howard Griffin and three siblings. She is survived by her son, Randy Griffin and wife Vicki of Red Oak; her daughter, Cathy Smith and her special friend, Destry Leonard of Nashville; one brother, Perry Mincher; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, September 29, 2011 in the Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Chapel in Rocky Mount, NC with the Rev. Larry Bostian officiating. Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home.
