Ina Clair Moore Ezzell

Mrs. Ina Clair Moore Ezzell, 79 years of age, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Nash General Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC, on August 8, 1932 to Luther Moore and Blanche Highsmith Moore. Oldest of six children, Ina was an adored sister of brother, Henry W. Moore (deceased), brother, Billie D. Moore (deceased), sister, Phyllis Moore Perry (deceased), Jean Moore Harris of Fayetteville, NC, and Lottie Moore Hedgepeth of Fayetteville, NC. After attending Rocky Mount High School, Ina met the love of her life and married her soul mate of 63 years, William Douglas Ezzell, Sr. Together they built a life that was centered around God, family, friends, and their community. Dedicating herself as a mother, Ina, instilled the true meaning of life with her humble spirit, kind heart, and caring nature. She was an inspiration to all that came in contact with her. Being a woman of many talents, Ina enjoyed painting, cooking, walking on the beach, and visiting family and friends. Alongside her husband, Ina was a founding member of the Rock Church in Wilson, NC from 1971-2008. Director of the Sunday School Program, Ina was a true teacher of children. With her selfless, unbroken compassion, she taught many about faith, confidence, and love. From 1976-2003, Ina worked at the Centura Bank in the business department. Ina believed that faith made all things possible and was known for her “prayers.” She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, William Douglas Ezzell, Sr., her daughter, Sherryl Ezzell Tipton and her husband Ed Tipton, II of Greenville, NC; her son, William Douglas Ezzell, Jr. and his wife Robin Ezzell of Rocky Mount, NC; three grandchildren; Tanya Ezzell Andrews and her husband Matthew Andrews of Momeyer, NC; Kelsey Elizabeth Tipton of Los Angeles, CA; William Douglas Ezzell, III of Rocky Mount, NC; her two sisters and many loving relatives. A memorial service to celebrate Inas life will take place at the Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, NC on Friday, June 15, 2012. The visitation will begin at 12:30pm followed by the service at 2:00pm officiated by Mike Clark, Kenneth Johnson, and Billy Carlyle. Graveside service will be held at the Forest Hills Cemetery following the previous services. The family will receive friends at the home of Bill and Ina Ezzell following the graveside burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Research Foundation, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh NC 27609. Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N.
