Horace "Lee" Huggins, 79, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010. He was born November 18, 1930 in Kinston, NC, the son of the late Ernest Huggins and Leona Sutton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine "Tina" Wright.
He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved singing country music. Lee was a salesman for many years.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Linda Hardy Huggins of the home; four daughters, Carolina Horne of the home, Wanda Hales of Wilson, Teresa Whaley of Trenton, and Tamalyn Storms of Florida; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Whaley of Kinston and Margie Powell of Rocky Mount; one brother, Leslie Sutton; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to remember Lee will be held at 3:00p.m. Saturday, October 02, 2010 in the Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Clark officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
