Harry Lee Threatt

ROCKY MOUNT – Harry Lee Threatt, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026, at TerraBella, Raleigh, NC.  Born in Edgecombe County, NC on March 21, 1950, he was the son of the late Frank Hope Threatt and Margaret Works Threatt.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Donna Burkholder Threatt; his brothers, Charlie Threatt and wife, Dee, and Stephen Threatt; and his sister, Carol Threatt Wallace and husband, Bob.

Harry is survived by his son, Brian Threatt, and wife, Mindy, of Pittsboro; his grandchildren, Max Threatt and Aiden Threatt; his brother, Phil Threatt and wife, Laurin, of FL; and many special nieces and nephews.

Harry was a lifelong resident of Rocky Mount whose life was defined by hard work, integrity, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. A gifted craftsman and respected professional, he proudly served as a Master Plumber, was a former President of the North Carolina Plumbing Association, and was an active member of the Jaycees. Following a successful career in the plumbing industry, Harry retired as a Building Inspector for the City of Rocky Mount, where he continued serving his community with the same dedication and professionalism that had marked his entire career. Beyond his work, Harry found great joy in the outdoors, especially duck hunting and snow skiing. He also cherished the friendships and memories made through athletics, having played football at Staunton Military College in Virginia. Harry will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family, his community, and the simple pleasures of life.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Harry’s life will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Pineview Cemetery, 761 E. Raleigh Blvd., Rocky Mount, NC 27801.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC  27804.
