Grady Odell Langley

Grady Odell Langley, 82, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010. He was born April 11, 1928 in Nash County, son of the late Lonnie and Evelyn Langley. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Winstead and Lillian Wooten; and brothers, Jack Langley, Cecil Langley, Louis Langley, Guy Langley, Reggie Langley and Vernell Langley. He was a faithful member of Arlington Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf and playing pool at the Senior Citizens Center in Nashville. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Kitty Marcelle Richardson Langley; son, Steven Langley and wife Paula; granddaughter; Nicole Brockwell and husband Van; grandson, Logan Langley; two great-granddaughters, Sophie Brockwell and Emma Langley; and sister, Vivian Bunting, all of Rocky Mount. A service to remember Odell will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Saturday evening at the home of Steven and Paula Langley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen VA 23058 or the National Kidney Foundation of NC, 4819 Park Road, Charlotte NC 28209. Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N.
