Dr. Frederick Olawoyin Fasegha, age 63, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina passed away, Monday, August 18, 2014. He was born in Ondo State, Nigeria on October 6, 1950, to the late Samuel and Lydia Fasegha.
Frederick attended grammar and elementary school in Nigeria Africa. Frederick arrived in the United States of America in December of 1973. Once in the U.S.A, Frederick attended Luther Rice College where he earned an Associated Degree in Business. He then attended the University of Maryland Bachelors of Science and the University of the District of Columbia where he earned his Masters Degree. He then attended the Family of Bible Institute College and received his PHD in Psychology.
Dr. Frederick Fasegha retired from the State of Maryland, Department of Human Resources in 2005. Frederick will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his lifetime, loyal, devoted and loving wife of 36 years, Monzel Fasegha, of Rocky Mount, N.C. He also leaves behind his two sons, Frederick K. Garrett of Winchester, VA and Calvin M. Garrett of Washington, D.C. Granddaughter, Cierra Crews of Cary, N.C. Brothers, Koledola Fasegha, Rufus Fasegha, Joseph Fasegha, Mike Fasegha, Edward Fasegha, Isaac Fasegha, and sister Ceila Olayiwola. All of Nigeria, Africa. Frederick was preceded in death by a Great grandson - Izaiah Crews of Cary, N.C. and sister, Merci Fasegha of Nigeria, Africa. Brother, Chief Clement Fasegha of Nigreria, Africa. Frederick also leaves behind to cherish his memory, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
