  1. Howard and family I am sorry to hear about Betty. Treasure all the wonderful memories as a family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Love Jodi, Dave, Nate and Carter Boal

  2. Betty was a member of our extended Cotton family. We enjoyed her company at family get togethers and we’ll always remember her smile. I remember Betty as an independent person. I would occasionally see her shopping at Goody’s or enjoying a meal at a local place. I remember one time someone had grabbed her purse out of her cart at Harris Teeter and I happened to have been coming into the store when she was talking to the manager. It was a traumatic event, but she was handling it better than I would have! I also remember stopping by her apartment after the flood from Floyd. It was a mess! It must have been devastating for her. But again, her faith and hope and support of her family kept her going. I love her recipe for onion dip. Every time I eat it I will remember Ms. Betty. -Karen Cotton

  3. We were saddened to hear about Betty’s passing. She will always be in our fond memories of our days at Christ Church. Betty was such a beautiful and caring person, and we know you will miss her. May God bless you and your family during this time. Sincerely, Tom and Gail Jenkins – Rocky Mount
