Eulene Sanders Modlin

Rocky Mount - Eulene Sanders Modlin, 83, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011. To her family and friends, she was known as "Mema". She was born in Pickens County, AL, February 19, 1928, daughter of the late John Sanders and Eviele Pugh Sanders. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester, Clem, and John Sanders, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Milton H. Modlin; daughter, Linda Modlin Boykin of Cary; granddaughters, Kristy Boykin of Cary, Kelly Boykin Martin of Apex and a great-grandson, Owen Martin of Apex. She was very proud of her "four generation family" especially her great-grandson. Mrs. Modlin was a member of West Haven Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bridge player and will be missed by her bridge friends. A private family memorial service will be held.
