Eugene F Dozier

ROCKY MOUNT, NC. - Eugene F. Dozier, 87, died Saturday December 4, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Joy of the home; son and daughter in law, Gerry Dozier and wife Holly of Kings Mountain, NC; daughters Ronda Dozier Pelone and husband Chris of Charlotte, NC and Connie Dozier Williams and husband and Richard of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army Signal Corp in the South Pacific. After the war, he joined Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Company, and worked in Rocky Mount, Fayetteville, Kinston and retired in Tarboro after more than 42 years of service. A graveside service will be held 2:30 Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home from 1:00 - 2:00pm Tuesday.
