Ernestine Strickland Robinson

Ernestine Strickland Robinson, age 86, passed away, Thursday, July 21, 2011. Born near Middlesex on April 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Nade E. Strickland Sr. and Maude Faison Strickland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cicero Thomas Robinson; brother, N.E. Strickland Jr.; and step-grandson, Bradley Smith. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Don Smith of Rocky Mount; grandson and wife, Brandon and Sara Hunter of Durham; granddaughter and husband, Temple and Kent Creech of Rocky Mount; great-granddaughter, Hayes Hunter of Durham; step-grandson, Kevin Smith of Rocky Mount; sisters, Barbara S. Buchanan of Raleigh, Ruth S. Thomas of Middlesex, and Juanita S. Bruffey of Fayetteville; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Sue Strickland of Raleigh; and sister-in-law, Rachel Robinson of Red Oak. A graveside service to remember Ernestine will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Brown officiating.
