Memories Timeline

  1. I was so devastated to learn of Ellen’s passing. She was a sweet Christian soul who always had a welcoming smile whenever or wherever you saw her. Ellen and I had a long history together growing up from the time we were babies at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Rocky Mt. We attended Sunday School, church, Bible School. youth meetings, and youth choir practice together for many years while growing up. We even sang duets together at church with Mrs. Mattie Denton accompanying us on the piano. Then, when Ellen and I became teenagers we both ended up working part-time together at Pope’s Dollar Store in Rocky Mt. I will never forget all those sweet memories of my dear friend. I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Gene, Jason, Allen, and all of Ellen’s extended family. May she be resting in sweet peace today on the wings of beautiful angels!!!
