BATTLEBORO – Elizabeth “Betty” Bryan Reierson, age 99, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Born in Nash County, NC on April 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Blount Bryan, Sr. and Millie “Belle” Melton Bryan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Keith Reierson; her granddaughter, Julia McBride Uribe; her brothers, Hugh Blount Bryan, Jr. and Dr. William Blair Bryan; and her son in law, Julius “Jay” Wooten Stallings, Jr.
A woman of a deep faith and a talented musician where she served as organist at the Battleboro United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She was a devoted daughter, wife and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and dear friend to many. Betty’s quiet and calming presence will be deeply missed and never forgotten. There was always an open door and a place at her kitchen table for coffee, conversation and confidentiality. She had the gift of being able to listen completely and to be fully present with a gentle and accepting heart. Her love of beautiful things was expressed within her home and extended to her yard and garden providing sanctuary and rest to many. Even her out of town visits to family carried an ease and sense of security that “ all is well now that “B” is here”.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Katherine “Kathy” Reierson Stallings, Sarah Reierson Bradsher (Ben), Dr. Nancy McBride Reierson, and Camilla “Cammy” Reierson Diehl (Clark); her grandchildren, Robert Stallings, Wright Stallings (Jessi), Elizabeth Bradsher Gaddy (Parker), Benjamin Scott Bradsher (Catherine), William Alex Uribe, Michael Reierson Uribe, John Clark Diehl IV (Mary Boyce), Jordan Forrest Diehl (Christina), Mark Davis Diehl, and Robert Adam Diehl (Gretchen); her 19 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was a special and sweet lady. She could always make you laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
She was such a beautiful person, gracious and kind. All of us who knew her were blessed.
Ms. Betty was one of the sweetest women I’ve know. Every time I was around her, she loved on me and treated me like one of her own.
Rest in peace… I so look forward to spending eternity with you. ❤️🙏
I am sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

I remember Betty from the Bryan Reunions. I always felt timid around people I didn’t know, but she was the epitome of l”Southern Graciousness”, and always made us feel like we were just part of her family!
My love goes out to the family at this difficult time. Comfort each other and enjoy all of the wonderful memories. May you have as many laughs, as tears.
How blessed I was to have been a friend of Sarah’s and welcomed into the Reierson home on several occasions! I well remember her mother’s gentle kindness, her hospitality, and her southern grace. She had the dignity and love of a woman of great faith, and she and her family and home made a deep impression on me as a teenager. I am certain this is a tender time for her family and loved ones, but I am also certain God is holding her in the palm of His hand.
Betty was welcoming and gracious with a smile that was priceless and a twinkle in her eyes. My sympathy goes out to the family. Betty left a legacy of sharing Christ’s love with all whom she came into contact.
