Eddie J Bulluck

Eddie Joel Bulluck, age 77, of Rocky Mount, NC passed away on November 27, 2010 in Boone, NC while visiting friends and family. Mr. Bulluck was born in Nash County, NC on April 29, 1933. He was the son of the late Desmont Bulluck and Lessie Taylor Bulluck. He was married to the late Lois Jeannette Robbins of Rocky Mount from 1954 until her death in 1987. Mr. Bulluck was a graduate of Benvenue High School and served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. He was a skilled accountant who worked for a number of firms beginning his career as an accounting clerk with a local farm machinery company and rising to become City Accountant for the City of Rocky Mount where he served for 23 years until his retirement. He had an active social and family life throughout his retirement and enjoyed travel, gardening, and spending time with his family and many friends. Later in life, he was especially fond of time spent with his grandson, Lucas. Known by many and beloved by all, Mr. Bulluck is survived by his daughter, Martha Leigh Bulluck and husband Alfredo Rivadeneira and grandson Lucas of Pittsboro, NC; and son Joel Anders Bulluck and wife Leslie Stevens Bulluck of Glencoe, IL. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bettie Mae Shearin of Halifax, NC; and brothers Desmont Bulluck, Jr. and Mark B. Bulluck, both of Rocky Mount. Visitation with the family will be held from 7:00 - 8:30pm Thursday, December 02, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home in Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday afternoon in the funeral home chapel followed by graveside services and interment at Pineview Cemetery.
