Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Dear Dorothy, Wesley, and family . . . We were sorry to hear of Doug’s passing and are praying for all of you as you grieve the loss of such a dear loved one. We can certainly sympathize with you in your loss as my wife lost her dad a number of years ago and I lost both my mother and father in 1962. We fondly remember Doug! He was such a friendly, loving, hospitable person. I had an inner chuckle when Pastor Kahn said at the funeral that Doug sometimes greeted people with hello young man. He said that to me on numerous occasions. Doug was so easy to talk to; we had a number of wonderful conversations over the years. He was so hospitable; whenever I came to the house, he always said won’t you come in And on more than one occasion, he would say now, you don’t have to leave so soon. And he was so helpful. It seemed as if he would help you do anything! I loved seeing his bountiful smile which always greeted you when you saw him. He was certainly a talented man! I remember some occasions talking with him at his shop; he sure was capable of a lot, and had done a lot during his lifetime! Truly, you have lost a dear loved one, but, too, the community has also lost a valued member. We’ll all miss Doug and look forward to seeing him again in his new body! In Christ, The Proffits
