Doris Bunting Manning

Doris Bunting Manning, age 82, passed away peacefully Friday, December 16, 2011. Born in Wilson County on June 19, 1929, she was one of 10 children born to the late Grover Cleveland Bunting and Ella Long Bunting. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Manning and son, Garland Ivan “Vann” Manning, Jr. She leaves behind her son, David Wayne Manning and wife Janet of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, Ashley Flythe of Bailey, Josh Manning of Bailey, and David Wayne Manning Jr. and wife Kelly of Tarboro; fianc, Joe Eatmon. The family will receive friends and relatives 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Monday, December 19, 2011 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Doris will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday at Proctors Chapel Church with Dr. Walt Cooper and Rev. Tim Hogan officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
