Donald was by brother. We grew up together and had loads of fun being kids. I remember when he got his 55 chev. He never got that one running but went to work for BelAir Chev on Church Street and got a 57 chev. He really loved that car. Donald went in the army, got married and raised a beautiful family of his own. He was my brother, my loving brother. Now he stands with Jesus

Donald was a man of God who will greatly be missed by all who knew him. He loved his family, N.C. State, and hotdogs. We will miss him but can find peace knowing that he is at home with our Lord.

Donald Daniels (Papa D) was a huge influence in my life growing up. My fondest memories were Saturday basketball and lunch in between and really those mountain trips. You never knew what he was going to say or do but one thing is for sure you knew you were going to laugh and enjoy it. My heart goes out to his wonderful family during this time. Thank you Mr. Daniels for all the good times. May you rest in Peace, job well done.
I’m heartbroken 💔 he was such a good brother in Christ and served well as a deacon during my pastorate at WEBC. We’re praying for the family 🙏🏼
RIP my friend
What a nice man! Both of my parents thought the world of him and so did I. Prayers for his family.
To: Jean, Greg and Dawn. We have lost something special, but the LORD has called him home
So sorry Donald my friend has left us, but so glad to know he’s now living in peace with his Savior. I truly enjoyed being on different committees with him at West Edgecombe Baptist Church. My 1st fond memory of Donald was chaperoning a youth ski trip with him many years ago & watching him try to learn how to snow ski. He lid all the way down on his back more than he skied down. I laughed harder than I ever had in my life. I also, had many laughs not too long ago while doing heart rehab together with him. I never thought Donald would leave us so soon. My heart is saddened. Love you Jean & family.
Such a wonderful man and friend. My heart is broken. Praying for his family.
I remember when Donald bought that go kart from billy hogshire. We tore the backyard up with it for weeks.
Finally, one of us got busted for going down the road and it was gone. We always remembered the fun though.
Donald was my brother, and he always had my back. I can’t wait to see him again and my heart will be whole .. Jean, Thank You for loving and cherishing my brother. Your love for him radiates to the heavens.
Donald was a good man. He will be missed.

I met Donald at the Dairy Bar in Rocky Mount in the spring of ’65. He had a four-door, ’57 Chevy hardtop. About a month later, I ran into him again. His brother Wayne was with him. Donald was trying to get some guys go with him that night on a spontaneous trip to Atlantic Beach. The three of us, accompanied by a fourth person went. Donald was a wild and crazy guy then.
Family: I am so sorry for your loss but rejoice in heaven’s gain. My prayers are with you.
My second trip to Atlantic Beach was with Donald and his brother Wayne in 1965. He drove his four-door hardtop ’57 Chevrolet. We parked at the Triple S Pier and slept in the car. Donald was a spontaneous type of guy and you never knew what he might say or do next. He was always good for a laugh.
