Daniel Wood Capps

Daniel Wood Capps, Sr. age 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 06, 2011. Born in Nash County on October 18, 1934, the son of the late Daniel I. Capps and Annie Harper Capps. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rhoelle Joyce Capps. Daniel served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired after 20 years of service. He was also a security officer at Hospira. He leaves behind his daughter, LeAnne Capps Kicklighter of Sharpsburg; son, Dan Capps, Jr. and wife Becky of Rocky Mount; and four grandchildren, Gracelyn and Samson Kicklighter and Bethany and Conner Capps. The family will receive friends 7:00pm to 8:30pm Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dan Capps Jr. A service to remember Daniel will be held at 3:00pm Sunday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robin Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804.
