Daniel Lee Pridgen, age 79, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. Born in Nash County on June 08, 1932, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Pridgen, Sr. and Ada Ward Pridgen.
Daniel Lee was in service with the United States Army. He spent his life working the soil in the Oak Level Community of Nash County as a dedicated tobacco farmer. He was a charter member of Oak Level Ruritan Club.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Marion Joyner Pridgen; sons, Alva Lee Pridgen (wife Jean), Daniel Keith Pridgen, Marion Craig Pridgen (wife Brenda), Ashley Gray Pridgen, and McBuffy Cade Pridgen; daughters, Kimberly Louise Pridgen, and Kelly Shannon Pridgen; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert L. Pridgen Jr. (wife Rebecca); and two sisters, Deanie Pridgen Baker (husband Buck), and Louise Pridgen Ferro (husband Gene).
The family will receive friends and relatives 7:00pm to 8:30pm Monday, May 28, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A graveside service to remember Daniel Lee will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
