Curtis Christman Rose

ROCKY MOUNT - Curtis Christman Rose, age 90, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on May 15, 1930, he was the son of the late George S. Rose and Parry Lee Kennedy Rose. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Loretta Rose, Nan Strickland, and Molly Vick; and his brothers, Henry Rose, Garland Rose, Cliff Rose, Ralph Rose, and Merritt Rose. Curtis enjoyed his retirement by playing golf with many of his friends and also working in his shop and helping Peggy with her garden and flowers. He was a longtime member of Englewood Assembly of God, where he loved fellowshipping with his church family. Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Peggy Skinner Rose; his sons, Dale Rose (Ginger) of Castalia, Scott Rose (Nancy) of Rocky Mount, and Chris Rose (Cindy) of Aventon; his grandchildren, Samantha Rose, Christopher Rose, Chelsea Pereira, Crystal Fuller (Bart), and Kelli Kitzmiller (Robert); his four great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, J.T. Vick; his sisters-in-law, Bell Rose and Myrtle Rose; his fur-baby girl, Gracie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Funeral Service to celebrate Curtis' life will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Gerry Blood officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.   1. Carolyn and I are so sorry for the families loss. Peggy, w e loved Curtis and he was always fun to chat with. He was a good speaker the one time I heard him give his life story at Englewood Assembly of God. He will be missed by us all.

  2. I am sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Mr. Curtis from church. He was such a nice man. Ms. Peggy was a big help to me in taking my Mom to the doctor. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
