Heaven received an angel on Friday, December 13, 2013 when Mrs. Charlotte Bulluck Browning age 73 was called home. Charlotte was born on March 10, 1940 in Rocky Mount to the late, James F. and Eva Lee Bulluck.
She worked at Carolina Telephone Company for over 40 years. Charlotte retired to take care of her late husband and enjoyed traveling, shopping and taking care of her younger grandchildren. She also enjoyed teaching Childrens Church for many years at Arlington Street Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and teacher who is most likely helping care for Jesus children in heaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Browning; her daughter, Debbie Melton Battle; and step-son Ernest Mark Browning.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Kim Bass (Greg Bass) and Shannon Cary (Troy Cary); her daughter-in-law Shari Browning; her grandchildren, Logan Cary, Jackson Cary, Tucker Bass, Brittany Bass, Jarrett Browning, Jessica Melton, Erica Battle Jasmine Battle and Maddox Melton. Her grandchildren will remember her as a grandma who always made them feel special and loved. She will also be missed by her loving brother and sisters who had a special place in their heart for her, Jimmy and Beverly Bulluck, Sylvia and John Fisher, Pat and Albert Boone and Linda Zelesnick; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. One of her nieces said, “Christmas will not be the same this year without Aunt Charlotte here to make us laugh!”
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nash General Hospital Respiratory team, Dr. David Browder and special Nurses and Aids from both Sterling House and Autumn Care.
Flowers are appreciated or memorial donations may be made to Arlington Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home from 7:00-8:30pm and other times at the home of Kim Bass. A service to remember Charlotte will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Lowry officiating. Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk this road of sorrow. Charlotte was such a delightful person. Harriet and I remember her with fondness when we served the Lord at Arlington. Grady
My condolences to the Browning family for your loss. May you find comfort from the God of comfort, who lets us know from his word the Bible that one day death will be no more, and we will have the opportunity to reunite with our dead loved ones through the resurrection-2 Cor. 13, 4Rev 213, 4John 528, 29. May your family be comforted!
