Brianna was born December 5, 1993 in Dallas, TX. Growing up in Rocky Mount, Brianna was very active in her church and was a beautiful dancer. Brianna was an avid soccer player. She was the Captain of the Red Oak Middle School Soccer Team and was a member of the 2004 Soccer State Cup Bronze Medal Team. During her teen years Brianna was a referee for Rocky Mount youth soccer. Brianna attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, Red Oak Middle School, and was a rising senior at Northern Nash High School. She had been a cheerleader for Red Oak Middle School and was a member of the middle and high school bands. Brianna had recently been inducted into the National Honor Society, and was scheduled to graduate early in December 2011.
Brianna was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was an altar server for six years and was instrumental in helping the Knights of Columbus raise money for the mentally challenged.
Brianna's passion came out in her family's kitchen where she loved to cook for her family and friends. Brianna also loved art, music and choreographing dance and cheerleading routines with the neighborhood children. Brianna was free spirited, fun loving, and had a special place in her heart for animals. For such a small body, Brianna had a very big heart.
Brianna is survived by her parents, James and Kathleen; brothers, James (JJ) and Kevin, and her sister, Caitlyn. She is also survived by Grandparents, Dorothy Murphy of Mooresville, IN, James and Joan McLaughlin of El Paso, TX; Aunts and Uncles, Kerry and Jon Ferguson (Indianapolis, IN), Mike and Linda Murphy (Dallas, TX), Robert and Colleen McLaughlin (Miami, FL), Kathy McLaughlin (Dallas, TX), Laurie and Patrick O'Beirne (Austin, TX), and Mauri and David Howell (Ft. What a difference one life makes in the world. Our son Justin was in a car accident and went to be with the Lord in the early hours of February 27th, 2009. We can truly relate to your pain and grief. Cherish the memories. Comfort the children and family in this time of grief. With the support you give and that received from others you can get through this. Only the passage of time will wear away at the anguish. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers through this extremely difficult time. The Paul & Sheree Armstrong family

What a beautiful angel God has received in His Kingdom! I cannot begin to know how it feels to lose a child, but the knowledge that Brianna has seen the face of God should be a comfort to all who knew her. She was blessed on earth to be part of a wonderful family, a family who values church and family above everything else. To all the McLaughlins, you know how much I love you. My prayers are with your family as you seek to find comfort and strenghth. Mickie Mizelle
