Brian Alexander Eskew

ROCKY MOUNT - Brian Alexander Eskew, age 48, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on February 2, 1973, he was the son of Lizzie Parker Eskew Riley and the late Julius Franklin Eskew. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother Gregory Eskew. Brian is survived by his wife, Melissa Byrum Eskew; his daughters, Brianna and Taylor Eskew; his mother Lizzie Parker Eskew Riley; his sisters, Jackie Eskew and Julie Eskew Walker, girlfriend Dawn Simone and several nieces and nephews. Brian worked for Nash Produce for many years. Nash Produce was his passion, his home away from home. He was always working extremely hard to provide for his family and to help others when he could. He had the biggest heart and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. His smile and spirit were contagious. He was a little man with a BIG heart and he will be greatly missed. Due to Covid risk, in lieu of a wake; a floating visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will not be in attendance due to Covid risk. Masks are required and please social distance. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville with Rev. Glenn Hill officiating. Masks are required. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Brian's memory to either the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Processing Center, P.O. Box 863765, Orlando, FL 32886, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.   7. To get the news I got Friday about Brian pretty much made me sick to my stomach. I hate that COVID-19 Delta has hurt anyone, but to take Brian away was too much. I just knew he would beat it, because there isn’t too many things Brian couldn’t figure out or fix. The world was a much better place with Brian Eskew in it! Love ya buddy!

  8. Brian was a great friend and a former next door neighbor… He was extremely smart and kind and just a wonderful person! I was shocked at his passing but I know I will see him again one wonderful day running on those streets of gold! Prayers for family members and friends!🙏🏻 He we certainly be missed!
