NASHVILLE - Brandon A. Edwards, age 32, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Born in Nash County, NC on March 15, 1985, he was the son of Stephen Alex Edwards and Wendy Crickmore Edwards. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Frances Katherine Edwards; maternal grandfather, George Crickmore; and uncle, Jeffery Crickmore.
A 2004 graduate of Northern Nash High School, Brandon filled his heart and all those whose lives he touched with hope and inspiration. A true friend of many, there were many moments in which his personality and generosity would bring a smile to a familiar face or a warmth to a stranger's heart. Brandon was always there to give the shirt off his back to help someone in need and always had the time to lift the spirits of those who were down. As a talented young man, Brandon had a gift of collecting past works of art and combining them to create new art through fanfiction. Brandon loved to draw, had a unique and special way of placing pen to paper and writing poetry, as well as bringing his family to the dinner table through his culinary recipes. His joy and happiness was a magnet for young children, a child at heart himself, Brandon had a love for bringing laughter to his young niece, who calls him "Uncle-Daddy" and others. He enjoyed following the Washington Redskins as well as being a hardened fan of UNC. Brandon filled his days spending time with his family and making memories he dearly cherished. He had a personality that could brighten anyone's day. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brandon leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents; his sister, Brittany Michelle Edwards and his precious niece, Aliyah Michelle, all of the home; his paternal grandfather, Sammy Edwards of Rocky Mount; maternal grandmother, Sue Crickmore of Castalia; uncles, Mark Edwards of Rocky Mount; Kevin Edwards of Rocky Mount; David and Kay Crickmore of Spring Hope; and his aunt, Angela and Brian Dalton of Castalia; and many loving cousins who were more like sisters to him.
A Celebration of Brandon's Life will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Mike Harrell and Dr. Wendy Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services as well as other times at the home.
Special thanks to his cousin Dustin Crickmore (brother) for the many years of brotherly love.

Wendy, Alex and Brittany, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
I want to send my deepest sympathy to the family of Brandon A. Edwards. The bible tells us we can gain comfort from God, even during times of sorrow. We pray to our heavenly father for help to cope with the sorrow felt from the death of a loved one. By prayer and supplication, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Philippians 46 May you find comfort by relying on our heavenly father and learning more about the blessings of God’s kingdom. Local ministry volunteer
