Bobbie Wooten Toler

ROCKY MOUNT - Bobbie Wooten Toler, age 94, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. She was born on March 28, 1928, to the late Robert Lee Wooten and Frances Dunn Wooten. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Toler, Jr.; her sisters, Margaret Wooten Eakes and Frances Wooten Haithcock. Bobbie lived her entire life in Rocky Mount, NC. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rocky Mount. After joining the church in 1938, she was very active serving in many capacities. She worked as a bookkeeper for 2 local businesses for 22 years. Bobbie's greatest happiness was her family, church family and her many friends. Bobbie is survived by her sons, Benjamin F. Toler, III and wife, Ruthie, of Clayton, and Dr. Robert Lee Toler and wife, Sylvia, of Raleigh; her daughter, Robin Toler Meeks and husband, Danny, of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Benjamin Toler, IV, Grayson Toler Hawkins (Chris), Allison Toler Downs (Brian), Eric Toler (Lauren), Samantha Meeks and Hayley Meeks Jones (Steed); and her great-grandchildren, Collins Gray Toler, Hudson and Charlotte Hawkins, Audrey and Ansel Downs and Caleb Toler. A Funeral Service to celebrate Bobbie's life will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Michael McHarg officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. A Private Family Burial will be held at Pineview Cemetery.
