Blonnie Horner Poland

Sandy Cross- Blonnie Jean Horner Poland, 70, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was born in Nash County Sept. 16, 1939, youngest daughter of the late John R. Horner and Eula Stallings Horner. Mrs. Poland was in customer service her entire working career. In the last 12 years she owned her own insurance agency, Divine Insurance, until declining health hospitalized her. She is survived by her husband, Obria N. "Tom" Poland of the home; one son, Jason N. Poland and Jason's Fiance, Christy Pridgen and a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Webb and Rev. Ruben Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
