Billy Reese Vick

ROCKY MOUNT - Billy Reese Vick, age 85, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on November 19, 1936, he was the son of the late N.E. Vick and Mary Winstead Vick. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Joyner Vick; his second wife, Dorothy Sawrey Vick; his brother, Donald Ray Vick; and his sister, Thelma Vick Harrell. Billy was a member and a Deacon of Southside Baptist Church where he devoted as much time as he could volunteering. He worked for Stallings Oil Company and Carolina Freight for many years. Billy is survived by his sons, Jeff Vick and wife, Sherri, of Taylors, SC, and Mike Vick and wife, Susan, of Rocky Mount; his step-daughter, Denise Sawrey Reason and husband, Marvin of Elm City; his grandchildren, Ben Vick, Jordan Vick, Caitlyn Vick, Emily Vick, and Anna Vick; his step-grandchildren, Tonya Hadnott, Ashley Jones, Amanda Stalls, Joshua Reason, and Joah Reason; his 17 great-grandchildren; his sister, Dolly Vick Colbert; his sister-in-law, Hilda Vick; his niece, Pamela Colbert; and his nephews, Brian Colbert and Don Vick. A Graveside Service to celebrate Billy's life will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Pineview Cemetery with Pastor Lee Price officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside. The family would like to say a special thanks to Autumn Care of Nash for the care given to Billy.
