Betty Johnson Arnold, age 70, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Born in Johnston County on February 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Albert B. Johnson and Beatrice E. Johnson.
Betty was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the care and nurturing of her family. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Rocky Mount Bowling Association. Betty was a faithful member of CrossPointe Church.
She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Robert C. Arnold Jr.; two daughters, Linda A. Mull and husband David, and Deborah A. Wass; son-in-law, Craig Wass; grandchildren, Brian Mull, Eric Mull, David Mull, Amber Anderson and husband Randy, Nicole W. Woolard and husband Mike, Heidi Wass, Megan Wass, Steven Wass; and great-grandchildren, Christian Butler, Greyson Anderson, Cameron Woolard and Chloe Woolard. She will also be remembered by her brothers, Ray Johnson, Braxton Johnson and wife Nancy, Ronnie Johnson and wife Debi, Ricky Johnson and special friend Denise; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives 12:30pm to 1:45pm Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. A service will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm followed by a short gathering at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
