Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Ms. Proctor was my 4 year old pre-school teacher at First Baptist 40 years ago. I have very fond memories of her and my year in her class! She gave me my first taste of school and built a foundation for learning that would last me a lifetime. I will pray for peace and comfort for her family.
We were devastated to learn that my beautiful cousin, Barbara, had passed away. We knew that she had fought long and hard to beat the cancer, but we thought she was doing well. We were so looking forward to seeing her on our visit there. Bob and I and Marie, Linda and Sandy send our love and sympathy to Aunt Margaret and Barbara’s family including all of my cousins and their families. Barbara was the most beautiful, loving, caring and charming lady that I have ever met. W e will miss her, and I know that she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends and all who knew her.We will hold you all in our prayers and pray that the many beautiful memories you have of her will help ease the pain of her loss. She will be THE most beautiful angel in heaven. Anne Lee Pigford Mena Port Hueneme, California
Lit a candle in memory of Barbara Jeanette Proctor
I worked with Ms Proctor for about 7 years in the dental clinic at Nash Corr and I have kept in contact with her since her retirement. She had a good work ethnic and was a hard worker. She was a very positive influence on me. I really appreciate all the guidance and support she gave me over the years. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. When she walked into a room her bubbly personality just lit up the room. I feel very fortunate to have known her and I will miss her dearly. Mary Richardson
Barbara, you have been like a second mama to me and just like another sister to my mama. You will be dearly missed and remembered always. I love you, hope to see you in heaven one day. Love, Debra Edwards Lynch
If there was anyone in this world who personified the meaning of willpower, strength, and, well, yes the art of being hard headed, it was my grandmother. After many heart to hearts with her for hours into the night which was amazing in itself because most people know she was an early to bed early to rise woman, I can tell you she was a very caring person that loved to listen to others opinions. Now dont get me wrong. You would be fooling yourself to think you would ever change her opinions on most things, but she would always listen with a thoughtful ear. Those late night talks about life, philosophy, and of course her favorite subject, family and friends will be my most cherished memories with grandma. She has given me amazing insight into life on how to always stay strong and live strong by witnessing the way she lived. She always walked tall, hard, and fast, never looking back. She gave this world everything she had. I dont think many people can truthfully say this about themselves, but she could, though she never would because she believed she could have always given just a little more. So in memory of my Grandmother, my new goal in life is going to be to live by her example and give this world everything I have from here out and I hope we may all be able to do this in the amzing fashion my grandmother did, though I am sure that is just wishful thinking. She was a one in 7 billion. To close, I would like to say it hurts me not to be able to be here during this tough time so thank you all for being here and showing your love, gratitude and support.
As we make our journey through this life, death is our final battle. Whenever I am troubled, & lost in deep despair, I bundle all my troubles up & go to God in prayer. I tell him I am heartsick & lost & lonely, too, That my mind is deeply burdened & I dont know what to do But I know he loves me & I humbly ask if in his love hell calm my heart, for me& then I just keep quiet & think, only thoughts of peace & if I abide in stillness my restless murmurings cease. (Ps.3418) (John 316) Due to the ramson sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we know that we have the hope of seeing our loved ones once again. The Bible gives us hope, over & over again. Jesus said I am the resurrection, & the life. He that exercises faith in me, though he dies, will come to life again. (John 1125) Jesus also said I am the vine & my Father is the cultivator. (John 151) The Bibles tells us that there will be no more tears, no pain, or sickness & death will be no more. (Rev. 213,4) What a wonderful time, we can look forward to, seeing our loved ones once again
Thank you Debra. She loved your mother so much and she was always there for her and she was always there for your mom. I hope that all of you are doing OK. I am having a sort of sad day.
Thank you Dr. Richardson. She enjoyed working with you so much and talked about her job there just about every time we talked. I miss her so much.
Thank your for that. I am having a day reflecting and this means so much to me. I know too that she is the most beautiful angel in heaven and reunited with my daddy.
Thanks Janet. She loved her work at First Baptist day care and all of the children. I think she has memories there that will last a lifetime. I know she made that same impression on many others. She never forgot any of her children.
Blake, Thank you so much for this post. I love you and miss mom so much.
