  5. My heart was sadden today when I first heard of the passing of Barbara, One Truly Beloved Soul! When I told my family of Barbara’s passing, my family’s comments included the following What an Energetic and Spunky person, What a Fireball, What a light of Sunshine in every room she entered, What a person full of True Wisdom, and What a Solid Good Soul! What wonderful remarks to be remembered by as Barbara leaves this world and goes to Heaven. PS I know her cousin, Margo Kennedy Moore, and Barbara will have a lot of catching up to do. Barbara will be truly missed here on Earth, but Heaven just received a Blessing! Sincerely With Love, Lynn Moore Mills

  6. Words cannot adequately capture what a wonderful person Barbara was. A true blessing to everyone who met her. I met her initially about 27 years ago when we were both counselors in Halifax County. I feel blessed to have known her and our communities and State have been so blessed by her servant leadership. One of the best, most respected people I have ever known. My prayers are with her family and friends and with our communities of which she was such an integral part.

  7. I remember Barbara from our 9th – 12th grades at Red OakNorthern Nash. She was one of the first Red Oak students to make me feel less of an outsider from Whitakers. I never saw Barbara after graduation, but I will always remember her with affection.
