NASHVILLE - Armand Josiah "Joey" Barnes, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Born in Fort Campbell, KY on March 12, 1962, he was the son of the late Josiah Barnes and Wanda Shirley Beaulieu Barnes.
Joey attended Fountain of Life Church of Prophecy. He enjoyed fishing, had an admiration for muscle cars, and loved spending time with his family whom he cherished. A talented musician in his spare time, Joey also enjoyed playing the guitar, saxophone, and the harmonica. A loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend to many, Joey will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Joey is survived by his wife, Susan Harris Barnes; his sons, Dustin Barnes, Josiah Barnes, and Brandon Barnes; his daughter, Jessica Barnes Phillips (Robert); his grandchildren, Destiny Phillips, Brittany Phillips, Makenzie Phillips, and Tristan Barnes; and many cousins.
A Celebration of Joey's Life will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Lutrell Spell officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
