Dortches, NC- Ann Edwards Smith, 71, died Monday, December 13, 2010. She was born in Nash County, June 13, 1939, daughter of the late Edna Edwards and Elizabeth Graham Edwards.
Mrs. Smith was the first secretary for Boddie Noell Enterprise and a faithful employee of The Town of Dortches.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Smith of 48 years and she was his beloved fishing partner; a daughter, Lisa Ann Smith of the home; sister, Dorothy E. Walker of Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 pm Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Red Oak Cemetery with Rev. Chet Rains and Rev. Phillip Barton officiating.
