Angel Darnell Lee

WHITAKERS - Angel Darnell Lee, age 12, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Angel was born in Pitt County, NC on January 28, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Michelle Letcher; and his Nana, Marion Letcher. Angel attended Carver Elementary, Bullock Elementary, and Red Oak Middle. He had a smile that would light up the whole world. Angel was loving, caring, and full of so much joy. He participated in Special Olympics at Bullock Elementary where he left a huge impact on all the staff members. Angel will be greatly missed by all. Angel is survived by his mother, Florence Christina Letcher; his step-father, Rickey Grant; his brothers, Saint Letcher and Sincere Grant; his sister, Selena Lee; his soon to be baby brother or sister; his uncle, Alex Jackson; his aunts, Savanna Letcher, Seretha Letcher, and Rosa Cook; his god mother, Iretha Alston; his grandmother, Victoria Moore; his first cousins, Ezra Sanders, Trentin Cook, Trinity Cook, Avi Dickens, Jayden Jackson, and Mia Jackson; his second cousins, the Cuiman family. A Special Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A heartfelt thank you to Rev. Battle and Sister Battle at East End Baptist Church for their support of our family. A Burial of Cremains will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
