  1. Mr. and Mrs. Braswell were our neighbors when we bought our first home on hammond st – they were the most wonderful people you could ever hope to have not only as neighbors but friends – they also were like grandparents to our only child, Mary Burton – we had to move to SC and it was a sad day telling them -this was all in the 1970’s – Ken, i came to the funeral service and was hoping to speak with you but got there just as you all were leaving the visitation area – i grew up 2 streets behind you – i know you remember my brother – john haggerty – i thought about the 2 of you having horses after your comments. Robert & I really loved your parents – they were so kind to us – i know your mother will be missed so much. She was a lovely lady and we know you are proud of her. Sincerely – Robert and Mary Bruce Haggerty Ricks

  2. As we make our journey through this life, death is our final battle. Whenever I am troubled, & lost in deep despair, I bundle all my troubles up & go to God in prayer. I tell him I am heartsick & lost & lonely, too, That my mind is deeply burdened & I dont know what to do But I know he loves me & I humbly ask if in his love hell calm my heart, for me& then I just keep quiet & think, only thoughts of peace & if I abide in stillness my restless murmurings cease. (Ps.3418) (John 316) Due to the ramson sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we know that we have the hope of seeing our loved ones once again. The Bible gives us hope, over & over again. Jesus said I am the resurrection, & the life. He that exercises faith in me, though he dies, will come to life again. (John 1125) Jesus also said I am the vine & my Father is the cultivator. (John 151) The Bibles tells us that there will be no more tears, no pain, or sickness & death will be no more. (Rev. 213,4) What a wonderful time, we can look forward to, seeing our loved ones once again.
