  4. It’s now 600 pm on Thursday, 6252015 and I just found out about AG’s funeral in Rocky Mount today. My wife and I had planned to attend, had we known when and where. AG and I were instant friends the first day I met him at Randolph-Macon. And I’m proud to say we have maintained that friendship ever since 1959. I left him a heartfelt message on his answering machine this past Tuesday. I do hope he was able to listen to it before he passed. My deepest condolences to his family; AG was my pal…Bob Stewart Hopewell aka Hopi

  5. We, too, found out about AG’s service and internment too late to attend. Our condolences to the family. Chris and Carey Dorset

  6. The times I was blessed to get to spend with A.G. were some of the happiest times of my life. He set a fire in me, a need to learn while on that boat. He was the best skipper a young man could hope for. The entire Ingram family is in my thoughts and prayers. I’m so sorry for your loss. -Bernie

  7. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Ingram family in the loss of AG. I feel pretty sure he and my dad are watching down on all of us and reminiscing on some old RMCKA days. With Sincere Condolences, Robin Thomasson Sorensen

  8. Envision this, God holds you by his hands & leads you through the days & months ahead. Pray diligently that God grant you comfort & peace during this time. Jesus spoke to them , saying..I am the light of the world. He that follows me will by no means walk in darkness, but will possess the light of life. John 8 12

  9. I feel so fortunate to have known AG, and along with so many others at Randolph-Macon, am full of gratitude for his legacy of generosity, which will support education for generations to come.
