Albert Bizzell Parker

Mr. Albert Bizzell Parker, age 77, of Rocky Mount, NC, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Autumn Care in Nashville, NC. Born January 13, 1934 in Nash County, NC, he was a son of the late Leslie Allen and Cara Jackson Parker. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Parker was a retired supervisor with Carolina Telephone and Telegraph, and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Parker Oakley and her husband, Tim, of Battleboro, NC; his son, Bruce Anthony Parker and his wife, Dianne, of Columbia, SC; his sister, Eleanor Parker Chapman and her husband, Blackie, of Smyrna, GA; and his two grandchildren, Megan Liv and her husband, Chris, of Rocky Mount, NC and Matthew Oakley of Battleboro, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Griffin Parker, who died August 22, 2010; his sister Katherine Parker; his brother, Jack Parker; and his sister-in-law, Bridget Parker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Jody Wright will officiate. Burial will be at Pineview Cemetery.
