SHARPSBURG - Willis Owens Warren, 74, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He was born September 11, 1935 in Green County, son of the late William Stanley Warren and Esther Owens Warren.
He is survived by his beloved wife and companion of 21 years, Patricia Gay Warren; daughters, Joyce Warren Davis and Tammy Warren; grandchildren, Waylon and Tabitha Davis; step son, Dennis Deaver (Sharon); step grandchildren, Derek and Alex Deaver; sisters, Lorrain Hulon, Rose Dew, Cathy Kazmiefe (Bob); sisters-in-law, Cathlene Warren, Kathy Sykes (Randy) and Reba Gay; brothers-in-law, Bobby Gay (Lucinda) and Gene Gay (Frances). He was preceded in death by his brother, William Stanley Warren, Jr.; brothers-in-law, David Dew, John Jobe, John Viverette, William D. Gay, Jr., Kenneth Gay; and sisters-in-law, Louise Gay Viverette, Daphne Jobe .
Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Grogan of Peoples Fellowship Baptist Church will preside.
Visitation with family and friends will follow the service.

My daddy was smart man and could build anything . Was good with his hands . He really suffer in his last months. I learn a lot for him when he worked on things. He loved music and races too . Daddy I love you very much , I know you are in a better place. please come see me and let me know you are around . watch over me . His wife Pat Warren was good woman to him even thro she felt bad sometimes she was always there for him . And he loved Pat alot . and his dog , And he loved his family .
