W.T. "Butch" Peele, 75, went on to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was a very devoted member of Shenandoah Baptist Church where he served in several capacities and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Turner and Arlene Batchelor Peele, his special uncles, Kearney Batchelor and Caswell Batchelor and his wife Peggy.
Butch worked in auto parts all his life, having owned Peele's Auto Parts for the last 25 years before retiring in 2003. Following his retirement, he found great joy in selling cars to others. Butch's favorite past-time was watching sports, whether it was a good baseball or basketball game or enjoying a close car race. In addition, the sounds of Gospel singing was always relaxing and brought with it a warmth to his heart. When not involved with watching sports, he could always be found working out in his yard and taking in the outdoors as much as his health would allow him to. He also enjoyed the freedom of traveling following his retirement, creating many special memories for him and his wife.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Pansy F. Peele of Rocky Mount; his daughter Karen Peele Parker and her husband, Tim Jr., of Rocky Mount; his step-sons Stanley Robinson and his wife, Melissa, of Winston Salem, and Scottie Robinson and his wife, Kaye, of Birmingham, AL; his grand-children Alexandria, Lauryn and Harrison Parker and Cameron, Cody, Connor, Logan, Will, and Ava Robinson. He also is survived by his 3 special step-grandchildren Emily, Nick, and Sam Ayers; his brother Kearney Thomas "Tommy" Peele and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to especially thank Butch's special friend, Mr. Carlton Taylor.
