Vivian “Bunny” Parker Alford

Vivian Parker "Bunny" Alford, 78, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010. She was born in Nash County, NC on February 25, 1932, daughter of the late George William Parker and Viola Long Parker. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Oliver Parker (Chester, VA) and Melvin Andrew Parker (Hopkinsville, KY); sisters, Bessie Parker Strickland (Louisburg, NC), Doris Louise Parker (Charlotte, NC) and Margaret Faye Parker Luther (Chesterfield, VA); great granddaughter, Riley Grace Killebrew; son-in-law Timothy Lee Pridgen. Mrs. Alford was a member of West Mount Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of sixty two years, Charlie Clifton Alford; daughter, Vickie Alford Pridgen; son and daughter in-law, Allen Dale Alford and Glenda Smith Alford; grandchildren, Clifton Lee Pridgen and wife, Monica Pridgen, Katie Elizabeth Pridgen, Allen Blair Alford and wife, Diana Alford, Mary Lindsay Alford; great-grandchildren, Bryson Lee Pridgen, Abby Nicole Pridgen, Michael Landon Alford, Emilie Kay Alford, Matthew Peyton Killebrew ,ll all of Rocky Mount, NC; sister, Frances Parker Shearin (Morrisville, NC). The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, with service at 3:00 pm Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the chapel at Wheeler and Woodlief with Pastor Tim Hogan officiating.
