  1. Junior, I am so sorry to hear about Velma’s passing. I always loved you and Velma and you always cared about us. Today is Shelby’s birthday. She would have been 80 today. Maybe she will be there to welcome Velma to Heaven. I pray so. Bettie Carol and Ken came to see me today, the first time since Shelby passed. I pray for you. I know she was sick for a long time. I know she is in a better place. Love, Donald Rountree

  4. God bless you all during this time. Remember all the special memories she has shared with you all. You are in our prayers.

  5. Dear Uncle Junior, both myself and Faye were very sorry to learn about Aunt Velma’s passing, but are comforted in knowing that she is now at peace. Over the years when we visited with you both, we enjoyed talking about times gone by and we will continue to check on you and come to visit. Some of our most treasured memories are when we visited around Christmas time when the house and yard were decorated for the season, as well as all the wonderful Christmas treats that both of you shared with us. Aunt Velma was quite the cook! I have fond memories from my childhood when you would take me along on your dates with Aunt Velma, although I was probably much of a chaperone. We are so sorry for your loss but hope you are comforted in knowing that she is safe with God in Heaven. May God Bless, Danny and Faye Bass

  6. We had the pleasure of working with this sweet lady at Abbott. She always had that beautiful smile on her face. You always knew that your very first Christmas card that you received would be from Velma. She and Simon always had the prettiest Christmas display at their home. Our prayers are with your family at this time. God has another beautiful Angel. Edith Crumpler & Barbara Dupree

  7. I’M SO SORRY SIMON FOR YOUR LOSS.. MAY THE LORD GIVE YOU COMFORT AND PEACE AT THIS TIME…WE KNOW VELMA IS NO LONGER SUFFERING IN PAIN AND THAT SHE IS WITH THE LORD… LOVE AND THOUGHTS, BILLY AND VICKIE GLOVER
