ROCKY MOUNT - Sue Dixon Howell, age 88, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Born in Granville County, NC on January 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Dixon and Gertrude Wilkins Dixon. Sue was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Sue is survived by her son, Lee Edward Howell of Greenville; her daughters, Candace Ann Howell of Rocky Mount, and Donna Howell Alexander and husband, Shawn of Taylors, SC; her grandchildren, Morgan Lee Howell, Shawn Alexander, Micah Alexander, Jordan Alexander, Andrew Alexander, and Anna Shae Alexander; six great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Donna, Lee, and Candace, We know your mother is now with Jesus and no longer suffering. We’ve loved her since 1957 when she played an important role in bringing us together for our 1958 wedding. We know you’ll miss your mom very much and will we. We love you. Wilbur & Jo-Ann Turner & Family
I have many fond memories of Ray and Sue Howell. Sue was a special help to me as a young youth pastor (back in the day when we were both a lot younger)! She was faithful, and true friend, and was always willing to serve. I am mindful of Paul’s admonition It is required of stewards that one be found faithful. Sue and Ray both fulfilled that requirement. She ran the race, finished the course, faithful to the last! She will be missed, but I envy what she is enjoying now!! Praise the Lord.
Candace you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
We love you guys and we will be praying for comfort and strength.

Gary and I are so sorry to just now learn of our neightbor’s passing. We know she loved the rose bushes and always was interested in what was gong on with the renovations next door. Though we didn’t know her personally, we thought a lot of Candy and her friendliness. Again, so sorry we are just learning about this.
